TERMS & CONDITIONS

These are terms and conditions applying to all sales and are the basis upon which orders are accepted by The Wine Shop. They will apply to all sales unless varied in writing to all future transactions.

 

1.     Sales

 

All sales are subject to our final confirmation. Prices listed for products are quoted per item and are subject to change without notice. All selling prices shown are exclusive of delivery charges. All prices are provisional and subject to our confirmation, upon acceptance of order.

 

All wines are offered subject to remaining unsold. Unless stated otherwise, all wines are offered lying in Hong Kong. 

 

By placing an order, the Customer confirms that he/ she is 18 years old or over. It is illegal to sell alcohol to people under the age of 18.

 

2.     Payment

 

All product prices listed are in HK dollars and credit cards will be debited in HK dollars. Payment is due immediately upon confirmation of order. If payment is not received within 7 days, we shall assume you would like to cancel the order. Please allow 3 to 5 working days for payment to clear before goods may be released.

Please send us a picture or scanned copy of your payment receipt via email or fax for verification after payment is done.

3.     Ownership

 

Ownership of all goods delivered to you remains with The Wine Shop until payment is received in full. Risk in all goods shall pass to buyers as soon as goods have been delivered.

 

4.     Delivery/ Collection

 

Free delivery will be made to Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories for purchases over HK$2,000. For delivery to Discovery Bay, Sheung Shui, Sai Kung, Yuen Long and outlying areas, please enquire at time of order. HK$120 will be charged for local delivery for purchase below HK$2,000

 

5. Breakages/Shortfall

 

Customers are requested to examine the goods immediately upon collection or delivery for any missing, deficiencies and/or damages. Claims (if any) must be logged at the time of delivery. Breakages must be retained with the original packaging for examination, otherwise any breakages or shortfall shall be deemed to have occurred thereafter.

 

6.     Return, Refund or Replacement Policy

 

Although we strive to find wines in their best condition, Customers must make appropriate allowances for natural variations of ullages, conditions of cases, labels and corks for old wines. Accordingly, please note that any refund or exchange due to the requirements of wine quality problems is only available when valid original invoice is provided.

 

If a Wine is corked or defective, please notify us within 1 day (24 hours) after such bottle is opened, and return the bottle to us with at least two-thirds of the wine left inside so we can verify its quality. Refund and exchange will only be applicable on wines below HK$500 (per bottle) and less than five years old.

 

For glassware or accessories, no returns shall be made after the receiver has acknowledged receipt of the goods. In case of any disputes, The Wine Shop reserves the rights to make final decision.

 

7.     Acceptance / Cancellation

 

Customers undertake to inspect all goods when collecting or immediately upon delivery. Customers will be deemed to have accepted the goods as satisfying your order 24 hours after collection/ delivery, and thereafter will not be entitled to reject the order for any reason.

 

8.     Limitation of Liability

 

The Wine Shop shall not be liable for any failure to meet our obligations caused by or resulting from acts of God, fire, flood, accident, riot, war, government intervention, embargoes, strikes, labour difficulties, equipment failures, or any other causes beyond our control.

 

9      These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.
